This week included teaching our friend Pedro who is 15 and a friend of a member here in Cambridge. The family he is friends with is so awesome. They're American so of course they're great. He's on date for the 22nd of September and is so awesome. After our lesson we had a Cafe Rio themed dinner and it was so great. Sister Willis even made the dressing!!! I was so happy!!!!!!
On Thursday we went and stopped by a self referral named Yasmin! She's from Jamaica and is so great. She was a wanting a "Mormon Bible" so we went by and taught her about the restoration and the book of Mormon. She talked out ears off but has been through some really crappy things in her life. She was very keen to it all and she came to church on Sunday for all 3 hours! She enjoyed it and plans to come next week as well. We will also be seeing her tomorrow! She's so solid!
We had Interviews with President and sister Checketts yesterday and they are literally the greatest people I have ever met. They are so nice and so loving. They remind me a lot of if mom and dad served as a mission president and wife. They are so great. It was the best interview I have ever had and just felt so much love and felt the spirit so strong. Couldn't help but let some tears out haha.
With that being said one of the things I've been studying a lot lately and could truly feel the power of it at Interviews is that the reality of the Atonement. I've truly come to understand and love few atonement this week. I know that it's real and Christ is there for us. I know he loves us all and knows us personally. I know that no matter what we've been through or what we're going through he is there for us. He's felt what we've felt and is a shoulder to lean on when all else fails. For every tear shed he's right there doing the same. He cries with us and rejoices with us. Even if we've turned away from Him he'll always be waiting with open arms to welcome us right back to Him. I love the Atonement so much and I love my savior Jesus Christ with all my heart.
I love you all so much and I'm so grateful for all the support I'm receiving all the time. You guys are the best. Love you so much.
