Another one bites the dust. Still can't believe I'm in Cambridge! 19 years later and it's all come full circle. God is good!
Well it was a pretty good and standard week. Tuesday we had Zone Conference in Hyde Park! It is always great getting to go to London and be around other missionaries. It was a great meeting and very spiritually uplifting. We taught two new people on Wednesday, Chris and Rafael, and they are both now preparing for baptism at the end of September so pray for them! On Thursday we had a meeting in Cambridge with the missionaries in this area to go over some stuff that we need to do. Afterwards we got to go have Lunch with our senior couple at their flat. They made some delicious food per usual! That night we also had a dinner appointment with The Cook family. They have lived here for years and even know our family friends the Severts! What a crazy small world it is! He made a mean pot of chili and we had some good conversations. They are awesome!
Friday we did some finding with the sisters in the Park. Not too much success, but still got to talk to a lot of people. You get to meet people from all over the world! That evening we went out to Newmarket which is like the horse racing capital of the world! We met with a recent convert and just talked about how things are going with her. Kiana is awesome!
There was a baptism on Saturday in Bury! We went to that and it was so awesome as are all baptisms. We went to lunch afterwards as a district plus our zone leaders. After a delicious meal we went finding as a district in the Bury Boyz area. We found 5 new friends for them and it was a great evening!
Sundays are so great here. The ward is large and full of Americans! It truly feels like home. We had a great dinner appointment with the Ballards (From South Africa). They are amazing and funny as well! We ate a great meal and even got to play some UNO EXTREME!!! A very good Sunday. The evening was filled with planning for the upcoming week and that was basically my week!
Some exciting new that we found out this week.... Elder Uchtdorf will be coming to our mission on September 8th to be speaking to the London Missionaries!!!! How awesome is that ?! Having an apostle of God speaking to us?!??!?! Not to mention my favorite one! I am so excited! He is a Legend! So that was pretty exciting!
Another grind week coming up this week, but it should be a good one! Man I will be missing my first football season in 14 years.... I must really know that this church is true! With that being said GO YOTESSSSSSSSSS!!!!! Also them BK Boys better represent as well! Them yoties though are brewing up something special for this upcoming season. Love those guys.
