Week 26: Back to where it all began (Hastings ---> Cambridge)

Have miracles ceased? I say unto you nay!!!! Well let me just tell you how small of a world it is. We just got our moves yesterday morning and I'm headed to Cambridge right next to where I was born! It's been 19 years since I've been there and the Lord is sending me back all this time later to help bring others unto Christ there. How wild is that though? I'll be the district leader there and will even be getting a car I'll also be finishing up training a new missionary from California... his name is Elder Welch. Exciting times ahead! Also I'll most definitely be able to see our family friends the Geddes. God is good. When I found out this area would be in my mission this is the one place I wanted to go and it's happening

Don't get me wrong I'm so sad leaving Hastings, and yesterday was so hard saying goodbye to everybody but I'll definitely be back when the whole fam comes with me! Love the ward and everybody I've met these last 6 months in the beautiful land of Hastings.

This week has been so bittersweet. I've had so much fun in the final week here, but I'm sad to be leaving and saying goodbye to my amazing district and the friends I've made here. Love these missionaries so much and I'm so blessed to have gotten to know them. Look forward to lifelong friendships with the world's closest district. Shoutout to elder Rhee and Kápolnási for finishing there missions and going out with a baptism this last week. Love those guys so much.

Honestly this week was such a blur I'm not really sure what even went on. We had an awesome district meeting on Thursday and Our whole zone came to it. I put on a funeral for the elders as it was there final one and I made a slideshow with all these pictures form these last several months. Not gonna lie got me real emotional as well as everybody else. Who would've thought you'd have to say bye to such good friends on your mission. It was such a good meeting and just a really fun time. Let's be real everything is fun with this district.

We also had a bbq on the beach to celebrate one of the sisters birthdays and to say goodbye to the Maidstone elders! Dad Hruby was grilling some dogs for everybody. Nothing has changed from back home Haha!

This upcoming week is definitely going to be a big change in terms of everything. Looking forward to the next chapter. I'm grateful for the memories and relationships made as well as growing closer to my savior. I look forward to more to come and for my testimony to Continue to grow.

I wanna leave you with my testimony that families can be together forever. Christ is always there for us. Although we may turn away at times he is always there waiting for us. We can always turn back and he'll take us in with open arms. I know He lives loves each one of us. I know the book of Mormon is the word of God and that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The church is true and I know it without a doubt in my mind. Miracles haven't ceased.

I love you all and look forward to sharing all kinds of new memories in a new land until next time

With love,
Elder Hruby
