Week 32: Nostalgia (Cambridge)

Been a really good and brought back lots of memories!

I guess I'll start off with all of the big news first. Transfers came out yesterday morning and I'll be staying in Cambridge!!!! Elder Welch is moving out and I'm getting Elder Allen from Syracuse Utah! He's one of the few guys I know pretty well and really like and was one of the few I was hoping to serve with so that's awesome! He's a stud and I look forward to this upcoming transfer! The rest of my district is remaining the same which I'm happy about. Nothing but good days ahead!

The other exciting news was that Saturday was one of the best days of my mission. The Bury Boyz spent the night and we went and played our normal Saturday morning basketball with the Filipinos. There were a total of 8 of us so we played some cheeky 4 v 4. Best workout I've gotten so far. They are so flipping good it's so annoying. The Bury Boys are ballers so having them made it a lot more fun and it was some really good basketball. After that Elder Welch and I had a teach with our boy Pedro. He's doing great and we moved his date back to the 13th of October because he is just starting the 21 day Book of Mormon Challenge. He's a stud. After a great teach we headed out to Raf Lakenheath! Yes I got to go back to the place I was born!!! We had a dinner appointment when some members who work there. I got to eat American food and drink real American lemonade!!!! Afterwards we went to the store and I bought all the American goodies. Even Gatorade!!!! You don't realize how much you miss the little things but it was seriously so great! It was so just so wild to think about how 19 years ago I was in the same exact spot... Man it's so wild! Couldn't really ask for a better day!

We have a girl named Kiana who was baptized about a year ago and we have gone and seen her every week. This week she told us her parents want to have us over for dinner to thank us for being so awesome (my words not theirs). Kiana heads back to uni this next week so it's pretty cool to see this last transfer of visiting pay off. Her parents have never met with missionaries before but they have heard lots of great things about us so that's really cool!

Friday nights we have what we call sports night where a bunch of nonmembers come and play football with us and it's always a good time. This week there was 15 total of us which was the most ever so that was a blast.

In terms of our friends... Pedro is doing good. He's a beast and just a cool kid to be around. He's gonna get dunked it's just a matter of time!
Yasmin is struggling with coffee and we're still trying to find a replacement for her. She's also not wanting to rush anything which is hard because this message is true but she'll come to know that eventually!!! She's so great!

It's going to be a fun week with moves happening and it's only a 5 week transfer but I'm really excited for this transfer it should be a fun one!

I love you all so much and keep enjoying the amazing season of football that's going on.... You're the best!!!
