Gathering Scattered Israel

You know when the sun comes out here in England I'll never be able to complain. Life is jolly and the work is going well. Easter was amazing and we had stake conference this weekend. We also had interviews this weekend which are always great. I always love being around the Checketts so much. They are the best. They spoke at our stake conference and one of the things they said really hit me. We have over 250 missionaries in our mission from over 53 countries. Also we're currently teaching people from Poland, Zimbabwe, Saudi Arabia, India, and others. We are teaching the world. One of the things we always say in our mission is "Our privilege is to participate in the literal gathering of Israel and to testify the book of Mormon is the instrument, and the holy temple the place by which the gathering will be fulfilled."

We are really gathering Scattered Israel in this mission and especially In our own area. God truly is hastening his work and it's amazing to be a part of. Our friend Anna, from Poland, is progressing really well! She finished the BoM in literally 2 weeks which is so crazy. She is already moving into the Doctrine and Covenants. She is really starting to feel something as she prays which is amazing considering she hasn't prayed in years.

I have been studying the Atonement a lot lately and the talk given by Tad. R Callister in General Conference really hit me. The Atonement is so complex, yet so simple. It really is such a gift that Christ has given us to be able to find forgiveness so easily. It really does just take a broken heart and a contrite spirit. It also has helped me understand how lucky I am to have such an amazing family. Truly do got the best fam I could ever ask for.

Honestly being a missionary is great and I love my area, companion, and all aspects of it. So many great things are happening while I have been here and they will only continue to happen. The church is true and that is something I have come to know, not believe, but know. I love you all and enjoy the sunshine.

Welcome to Zimbabwe

The weeks are just flying by! We're already in the last week of this transfer. We'll find out Sunday morning what's going to happen with moves so pray that Elder Jacobs and I stay together

The best part of this week was our friend Farai. Monday night last week while we were headed back home after Pday I had a strong feeling we should stop by a lady named Farai who we haven't seen in a couple weeks. We did and she was happy we did and asked to come back the next night. So, we taught her Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. On Thursday we taught her with our two recent concerts Alice and James!! Wow such a cool experience.

We have a lot of members in our ward from Zimbabwe which is where she's from. We knew if we could get her to church it would be game over. We were telling all of those members about her and that we were really hoping she would come. They told us if we could get her there they would take care of the rest. We'll she came like 20 minute late, but better late than never. After sacrament meeting they all just swarmed her like crazy! We literally just sat back and watched as they all came up to her and started speaking their language with her! She texted us after and was just telling us how much she loved it and all the members. Now we just gotta hope it keeps going that well and that she'll get baptised at the end of this month

We had an exchange this week and I was with Elder Jaipaul from Guyana. What a funny guy he is. It was a great time! Othe than that we had some meetings and then a baptism in Enfield which was great! Our zone is doing some great things.

It was mothers day here so just wanna give a quick shout out to the world's best mom as well as the cutest mom! She's just the best isn't she?! I sure do love that woman and all that she's done for me and constantly supporting me in all I do in my life. Would not be where I am without her and sure wouldn't have as many laughs as I do. I love you momma Hruby and can't imagine life without such a cool lady and hip momma. You da real MVP!
