Twas another busy week here in the lovely Hastings!
Thursday was very hectic! We had a teach with the worlds weirdest dude ever names James. He's been coming to church for years, but is so strange. He wants to start his own religion, but we taught him and he accepted a baptismal date for the end of the month! He said that well if he joined us he wouldn't have to start his own religion gotta love it. Then we went to TWells for a baptismal interview. Our whole district was there because there was a possibility that he was going to get baptized right after! The font was filled and everything but he wasn't wanting to so quickly so they are going to have to find time in his very busy schedule. It was very crazy!
Friday was the worst. After a pretty normal day we were headed to dinner at bishops house and my wallet got stolen on the bus so that was the worst. It's gonna be a tough rest of the month haha. On the bright side dinner was really good and we got to celebrate bishops sons birthday. We got him a tie and he was pretty stoked. He also wore it to church on Sunday and looked sick!
Saturday was filled with service in the morning for the most posh lady ever. She was gone but left the whole house to us with a bunch of good and drinks in the fridge! It was so great! The members here are the best. In the afternoon we had a visit with a member who struggles with smoking and his young daughter who isn't a member. It was very quick because they had to leave but we're gonna help him to try and stop smoking! It's gonna happen that's for sure! In the evening we went and had dinner at the best members, the Meachams! The husband is from west Virginia, so the fact that he's American already makes him awesome. They are just such a cool and chill family. They are so humble and just so fun to be around. They are truly the best!
Sunday's are always the best! The members are so great! Church was great as always. After we went to the Taekemas (Brother Taekema is the worlds most legit Organ player ever) we got to watch the "Be one" celebration from the other week and it was literally the best thing ever. If you haven't watched it yet I would definitely recommend it for sure! I had goosebumps the whole time I was watching it. The musical is AMAZING!!!
Monday was filled with more service and a meeting in the morning, so nothing too exciting.
Tuesday maidsotne came for exchange which you know what that means... party time! Elder Kápolnási and I went and did some service for a member and i was dripping sweat it was exhausting. After we had ward council which was pretty normal for once! It was a great day.
Today we're just chilling with the other elders and will probably go hang out on the beach and just soak up the Sun while we get the chance. Tonight will consist of some more basketball!!! It's a flipping party her in the Maidstone district!
Well the blitz is going great. Alma is the best! I'm reading about Ammon right now and how much of a stud he was! The thing I've learned from him is it's all about service. If you serve people first it makes all the difference. We're putting that into action. This week we're doing about 10 hours of service so it's going to be a tiring week! All worth it though. Love serving the members and non members here.
That's me for the week! Miss you all and wish I could be hitting up the lake right now but serving the Lord is just as good! Love you all! Have a wonderful and blessed week!

Week 17: Bye bye President and Sister Gubler (Hastings)
It's getting to the point now where the weeks just all blur together. Nevertheless it was another good week here in the great Hastings!
So for the last couple weeks once preparation day is over we take a train to Tunbridge Wells and do sport contacting with our district! It's been so much fun and actually very successful. More and more people come every week! We are going again tonight and plan to continue to do so as long as we're here! It makes the day that much better! Let's just say Wednesdays are a great day yo look forward to!
We had a district meeting in Maidstone last thursday and then after we started our exchange with the zone leaders. They have a car, so I got to ride in that. It's crazy how those little things make all the difference! Just having a car to get places made life so much easier. I was on exchange with elder Watkins from Minnesota. He's a weirdo for sure but the good kind of weird that I like. He's been out for about 20 months and is getting close to the end. They live in Croyden which is just a couple miles from London! It was weird being so close to it yet so far! It twas a good exchange to say the least!
Saturday was a good day because I got to see my favorite, sister Brown! We went and did some more service for her and might i add we did a dang good job! She couldn't stop telling us how impressed she was with how much we got done and well we got it done! After she took us out to dinner as she usually does after we do service. I bacon and chicken melt, but the dessert was the best part. It was some warm cookie dough with ice cream...need I say anymore?? Love going to see her. She s the best!
Sunday's are always a good day. We've been taking the super nice bus and we got on for free again this week. The guy was like sure hop on but don't tell anybody! Gotta love It.
Monday was bust with teaches and running around to different places trying to fit everything in. We've been crazy busy and are always booked like a week in advance which is crazy! It's nice being busy though, definitely better than the opposite.
Yesterday was such a good but bittersweet day. We had our last zone conference with President and sister Gubler. The whole time it was basically just family sit down where we all just talked together and they told us what they felt was the most important things for us to remember. It's always great seeing all the other missionaries as Well! I met an elder Sharp who went to AF high school with cousin Gavin! I also met an elder Lawson who went to Lone Peak high school and knows who cousin Riley is! Crazy small world right? I also got to see my boy Elder Murtonen! Always great getting to catch up with him again. It was weird leaving this time though because you don't know if you'll ever see any of those people again depending where I am when moves happen at the end of the month and the mission boundaries change. Also was the last time I'll see President and sister Gubler. There's lots of lasts happening but that means they'll be lots of firsts to come. It's crazy because I haven't been out here long at all, but you get attached to the people and Presidnet and now they'll be leaving and I'll have the other Presidnet and wife for a lotttttt longer. Crazy times ahead for sure! Nevertheless the spirit felt throughout zone confwrcne was unreal!!! I has goosebumps on so many different occasions! It was such a good day.
Today has been a lazy day so far and haven't done really anything at all which is nice. Like I said we'll be headed to TWells tonight for some basketball and soccer! We have another busy week coming up! Also just a shout out to the colonel and the Mrs....HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!! Love you guys so much and have a fantastic week!!!
